Happiness is around the corner.
Look at the mirror. The mirror will reflect a person who contributes to his family, friends and the world. You will not see a person with flaws. You will concentrate on what makes you beautiful and unique. Look at your pretty and clever eyes, the beauty within you, the shape of your nose, the help you give others or your great looking hair. Take the time to admire the positive in you. And there is a lot to admire. Smile. You are awesome. Recent studies show that smiling during stressful situations will lead to more positive emotions and help lower heart rate levels. The physical act of smiling changes the blood flow to the brain and actually triggers the brain to feel more secure and relaxed. Faking a smile also has benefits.
Leah was working in customer service at a website design company. She was a beautiful woman who spokes very little and did not smile. For reasons unknown Leah had low self-esteem. It seems as she was hiding.
Self-confidence is an essential part to happy life. Low self-confidence or viewing yourself as one who has no ability to accomplish goals and interact with others can lead to depression. Teach yourself to smile often, and it will inject happiness to your life.
Later on, I found that the whole issue was her teeth. She was embarrassed to open her month. In reality, six visits to the dentist could have fixed it all.
Self-confidence, self-control, self-respect and self-esteem go away with unjustified negative self-talk. There is no good that can possibly come from telling yourself that you’re not good enough or that you look bad. Beating yourself up mentally or verbally will lower self-confidence, self-control, self-respect and self-esteem. Use self-encouragement and hopeful statements. All you “should” or “must” do should be changed with “do one positive act for you now”. This will lead to a happy life.
Some need help seeing their inner and outer beauty and that is also ok. See a therapist, they will help. Some therapists use the new Time Perspective Therapy. Time Perspective Therapy helps by looking at the pasts, present and future in an entirely new way. The results are amazing. The result is finding happiness. You will end up having a big brilliant smile that will lead to better health, relationships and overall life.
Other people like Leah have low self-confidence and self-esteem because of their appearance. Being overweight may relate to bad food habits, no source of satisfaction, and other matters that may relate to your past. The diet is only a temporarily solution. Changing food habits and entering to a growth life-style will result in a better personal life overall. Seeing a therapist can certainly help.
Some people feel a strong need to improve some body parts. If those changes will lead you to happiness, do it fast. It can be costly but there is no value to happiness. Unhappy life can lead to depression and other type of illness that may cost a lot more then improving your look. Today most Doctors have financing plans.
A good place to start and to also have tremendous effects on our life is our smile. When you smile, others will smile back and come closer to you. You will be “in”. It will increase your confidence, happiness and self- confidence.
SMILES project youth.
Generally speaking, people and the opposite sex are drawn to youth and those who project a positive outlook on life. Laughter sends happy messages and demonstrates positive qualities. Your laughter builds an optimistic feeling and sense of happiness in others. That is why smiles work magic on those who do smile, and to all the people around them.
Unfortunately, many are like Leah who stopped smiling and talking because of her teeth. There are so many simple and easy procedures today that this is unjustified.
All evidence shows that Smiling is an excellent confidence booster, in addition to helping with self-esteem.
